Sokoto gets cement for school, mosque renovation

The Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) has distributed 2,040 bags of cement worth N7million to 68 villages and towns in Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto.

Each benefiting community received 30 bags.

Speaking at the distribution exercise, Corporate Affairs Manager of the company, Alhaji Sada Suleiman said the initiative was part of the corporate social responsibility of CCNN to host communities.

He said it was meant for community development projects such as renovation of wells, mosques and schools among others.

The manager expressed the company’s continued support to the communities.

The Chairman, Wamakko Local Government Area, Alhaji Bello Buba lauded CCNN for the gesture.

He noted that the company had been assisting the communities in the local government area in various areas such as health, education and water supply. Daily Trust
