Abuja – February 20, 2024 – Viewpoint Housing News.

Following almost six hours of rainfall, numerous homes in Lagos’ Alimosho Local Government Area were allegedly flooded, leaving many residents stranded.
Most of the metropolis was submerged by  layers of rain that began at approximately six in the morning on Tuesday.

Car mobility was also hindered by the inundation. Abule-Egba, Command, Agege, and Egbeda communities in Lagos are among the most severely impacted.
The individuals who were trapped were being rescued by emergency services from state and federal government entities.
NEMA’s (National Emergency Management Agency) South West Territorial Coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye, verified the situation.

He advised residents of Command Area to take alternative routes, when going out, by avoiding Command and the near areas as flood has overrun the bridge in the neighbourhood.“NEMA, fire service and police are working to get trapped people out of the area,” he added.
