The Residents of the Atan and Lusada communities within the Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State have expressed their dissatisfaction with the delayed construction work  undertaken by the state government. They emphasize that the unfinished construction has caused them hardship.
Residents who spoke with journalist said that, their everyday mobility and health had been impacted by the poor condition of the road.
They said that the bad state of the road has an impact on their enterprises.

Following an investigation, it was found that while the majority of the road is in poor condition, some of the long stretch that connects Ogun and Lagos State via the Agbara Industrial Area route—which is home to one of the state-owned tertiary institutions—has undergone reconstruction.
Adekunle Kabir, a local, lamented the road’s abandonment, saying it demonstrated the government’s callous disregard for the suffering of the people living there.

“Travelling this road every day is like living in hell.” There are poor roads all the way to our location. The roads are terrible from Sango to Agbara to Owode, Kabir bemoaned.
According to Rahman, a commercial biker who travels the Atan to Lusada sections of the route, the poor quality of the road has caused his motorbike to wear out more rapidly and has added to the regular strain he experiences, which has negatively impacted his health.
“Only a few sections of the road from Atan to Lusada have been completed; the remainder is so awful that there are potholes and mud everywhere, which frequently causes me to have physical aches when I go home from work. he lamented.

A shopkeeper in the Lusada neighbourhood, who went by the name Iya Ibeji, said that the poor condition of the road had destroyed local business ventures since residents were not moving there in a way that would have aided in the socioeconomic advancement of the area.
“This is a commercial road that, if built, can open up businesses and bring in money for the state,” she stated. “We can only appeal to the government to speed up the completion of the road so that our businesses can improve,”
