The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) have announced the strengthening of collaboration aimed at addressing challenges hindering housing development in the country.
The announcement was made during a recent courtesy visit NIESV, led by its President, ESV Johnbull Amayaevbo to the Managing Director of FMBN. The meeting highlighted an urgent need for joint efforts in providing decent and affordable housing solutions.

ESV Amayaevbo expressed gratitude to Mr. Madu Hamman and commended the FMBN for its dynamic leadership and significant contributions to the mortgage system in the country and emphasized NIESV’s willingness to collaborate with FMBN, leveraging its expertise in housing provision.
Recognizing the hurdles in homeownership and the Land Use Act as a major hindrance to housing development, NIESV reiterated its call for a review of the Act.
