A two-storey residential building in the Kubwa area of the federal capital territory (FCT) has collapsed.
A section of the building was said to have caved in on Saturday morning.
spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Manzo Ezekiel, , told the media that, they managed to rescue some persons that were trapped under the rubble.
“some people have been rescued and the search and rescue efforts are still on going to search for the remaining poeple that are under the rubble,” Ezekiel said.
“We hope that soon we’ll be done with the rescue operation.
”The development comes barely 24 hours after a two-storey school building, located in the Busa Buji community of Jos north LGA, collapsed while students and teachers were in classes for the third term examination.
So far, 22 people have been confirmed dead and 132 injured in the accident.
