Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been urged by Ikorodu stakeholders to actualize the Fourth Mainland Bridge construction project.

Before his term ended, Prince Lanre Balogun, a former Lagos State Commissioner for Rural Development, pleaded with the governor to finish the bridge and other unfinished roads.
“The Fourth Mainland Bridge, which he promised to deliver, has partners and the paperwork/master plan completed as we speak,” he declared.

“Work is being done on the Isawo Road, and repairs are needed on the Igbogbo Baiyeku and Offin-Oreta roads.” We implore the governor to order the contractors to return to the project site.

Infrastructure development is for those living; anything given now is for those alive,” he stated. I implore those in positions of responsibility to pay attention and act right away. Additionally, Sanwo-Olu began out well with Ikorodu, but Chief Kayode Olomo, the Baale of Ojogbe in Ikorodu, stated that he needed to do more.

For instance, in his first term, he appointed two commissioners, he stated. But we want him to appoint an indigenous person to succeed the commissioner he dismissed. “The government must also intervene in the Gberigbe axis.”

Sanwo-Olu performed well in his first term, according to Princes Adebukola Osho, the Iyaloja of Ikorodu Central, who also expressed her belief that he will perform even better in his second term.

She urged residents and political leaders to mediate and lobby on areas that needed attention, saying this was necessary because the areas needing the attention of the government must be identified to attract intervention.
