The International Real Estate Conference (IRECE) And Exhibition 2024 will hold at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, from 12-14th November, 2024.
The focus of IRECE this year will be on perspectives and solutions to the rising number of building collapse cases affecting the country.
In a media brief with journalists on Tuesday in Abuja, ESV Osilama E., Vice President of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, North Central, explained that, the event is aimed to address the rising number of building collapses in the country.
Chairman of the FCT REDAN, Okoruwa Ehikioya, noted that “Inadequate and substandard materials, as well as poor supervision, could lead to building collapse.”.
“Our goal is to bring together regulators and operators in order to discuss these challenges and come up with viable solutions,” he said.
The Convener IRECE, Mr Ajayi Franklin, emphasized that the event will feature dignitaries like Governors and experts in the built sector who will offer suggestions and probable solutions to the scourge of building collapse in the country.
organizing secretary, Mallam Ahmed Goringo, added that the conference will feature insurance companies that will fast track conversations on how Nigeria can commence insuring properties, as well as the Director General Nigerian Building & Road Research Institute (NBRRI).
