The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Malam Muhammad Bello yesterday ordered the Department of Development Control to seal an abandoned building in Maitama, Abuja, the Nigerian capital.
The massive 3 floor uncompleted building on Plot 22, Cadastral Zone, A05, Udi Hills Street, was described as ‘posing security threats to residents of the area.
Bello on a detailed tour of the building which has a basement parking area, was accompanied by a team of FCTA and Security officials which include the Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Tpl Umar Shuaibu, the Solicitor General of the FCTA, Barr. Garduya Bawa Ganiya, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of operations in the FCT, Mr. MB Magawata and other officials of the FCTA.
