Governor Nasir El-rufai of kaduna state has reportedly
demolished a popular beer joint located opposite command secondary schools in
kaduna south local government.
Eyewitness and security man who spoke to Nigerian pilot under anonymity said government official led by four Hilux loaded with security operatives were responsible for the demolition which occurred around 4pm on Friday.
The source said though the government agent who ordered demolition of the building immediately on arrival at the scene did not give any reason for their action.
The security man however expressed dismay, saying they’ve never opened or operated the joint since the commencement of the lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said the government official granted his permission and plea to wait for him to inform his Boss before the deminsion, but lamented that all his efforts to get his masters on phone failed due one problem or the order.
He however noted that immediately after the demolition, the commissioner for internal security and home affairs Mr Samuel Aruwan came to the site of the building. He also revealed that governor’El-rufai drove pass through the area a day before the incident.
