Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), on 3rd December 2020, named as the 2020 Housing Finance Person of the Year, by the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN), organizers of the International Housing Awards, held at the International Conference Center, Abuja
The award was presented by Mr. Festus Adebayo, President of the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN) also the organizer of the Abuja International Housing Show. He recognized all Dangiwa has done in reforming efforts to turnaround the FMBN and build it up as an influential means for the provision of affordable housing delivered to Nigerians for the low- and medium-income earners.
In spite of the challenges faced, not shying away from the weak financial base of less than N5billion naira, Dangiwa is leading the FMBN Management Team to building and maintaining an extraordinary track to stronger performance.
A total sum of N112billion has so far been disbursed into housing loans in the last three years under Dangiwa administration, representing a 74% increase over the N152billion that was disbursed since the invention of the NHF scheme established 25 years ago.
