COASTAL ROAD: LANDMARK PROPERTY WILL NOT BE DEMOLISHED – UMAHI

The Minister of Works, Dave umahi has confirmed  that the $200 million Landmark Beach Resort will not be affected by the  Construction of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, starting from Lagos.

Dave Umahi also accused the Chief Executive Officer of Landmark Group, Paul Onwuanibe, of misleading Nigerians.

Umahi announced this at a press conference in Lagos on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

According to him, no property at the Beach Resort would be lost and employment will not the affected. He however insisted that, the government will take at least 50 metres of land belonging to Landmark Hotel and Beach Resort for the construction of the 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway project.

“I visited Landmark yesterday and I can tell you that all the property of Landmark are safe and no single job will be lost,” he assured.
