As the tenure of the President of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) Dr. Aliyu Oroji Wammako elapses on February 26, 2024, we take a look at happenings in the premier estate developers’ body and the achievements of the incoming President of (REDAN) a reputable lawyer, who has been around the real estate sector for sometime. Barr. Akintoye F. Adeoye.
Barr. Akintoye, a founding member of REDAN was elected as 1st Deputy President of REDAN in February 2020 in Abuja.
He is the incoming President of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) in February 2024. He was the General Secretary of REDAN and the former Vice President of the REDAN, (South West) Chapter. He worked with Rev. Ugochukwu Chime and Chief Bode Emmanuel Afolayan both of whom served as past Presidents of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN).
Barrister Akintoye, a quintessential property developer and legal expert, holds an LL. B (Hons) and LL.M. degrees in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria. He also obtained a Bachelor of Theology from LIFE Seminary in Ikorodu (affiliated with the University of Ibadan, Nigeria).
He attended The Nigerian Law School in Victoria Island, Lagos, and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar. Afterward, he enrolled as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Due to his enthusiasm and drive to support Nigeria’s real estate industry, Barrister Akintoye pursued his desire for empowerment. He achieved this goal by engaging in various leadership courses and programs, both domestically in Nigeria and overseas. Some of these include the Training Program for Mediation with Lagos Multi-Door Court House (LMDC) in 2013 and the Real Estate Institute in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Real Estate Workshops, Conventions, and Conferences in the United States, Canada, Europe, China, India, and East Africa, among other places.
With over three decades of cognate working experience in both legal and real estate practice, Barr. Akintoye has participated in several real estate projects in Nigeria and abroad.
He is a Principal Partner at Adeoye, Ademuwagun & Co. (Solicitors and Advocates of the Supreme Court of Nigeria). Additionally, he holds directorship positions at New Creation Properties Limited and Wisdom Property Limited.
He is also Chairman of Wealth Colony Investment Club LLP and Kingdom Investment Club LLP (UK).
Barr. Akintoye has overseen a wide range of Real Estate and Property Development processes, including project strategy creation, market analysis and identification, feasibility studies and project phasing plans, construction, management, and even the development of visionary concepts, meticulous design, and project execution, all these achievements make his ascension to leadership a merited accomplishment.
With a vast experience in the property sector including, Property Development, Design, Construction, Property and Asset Management, and currently, the 1st Deputy President of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Barr. Akintoye is passion-driven with a strong track record of initiating well-executed real estate projects and a highly effective managerial skill which makes him highly qualified for the job! .
He is a highly diligent individual who is dedicated to carrying out the Association’s objectives, aspirations, and visions while boosting efficiency, cutting costs, and raising productivity.
