“The AIHS held annually has become an excellent event in Africa. It’s a show that has been able to harness all the value chain and key players in the housing sector to bring them into a store, to interface and network, putting heads together towards solving the housing deficit in the country”, Mr. Umesi said.

He said the organisers of the yearly event have grown, making the Show richer and providing real estate companies with the opportunities to network and meet with prospects, manufacturers and do business together.

While explaining that housing, the second basic need of  man, is the reason SOW is in the sector to play a role by providing houses for people and ensuring that they are affordable, he acknowledged the huge existing housing deficit in the country and said “we want to help bridge the gap in providing affordable housing to many persons in Abuja and Nigeria”. He added that the company has lots of projects coming up in Lagos and Abuja.

Mr. Umesi said SOW Real Estate, birthed over a decade ago and with more than twelve estates in different locations in Abuja, including Karsana, Life Camp, Katampe extension, amongst others, has been impacted by the AIHS through making the brand (SOW) visible and exposing it to investment advisers, also providing them with the opportunity to meet with potential clients that are willing to invest in the real estate market.

“We have been able to harness a lot of potential clients from the housing show. It gives us the opportunity to also meet with other exhibitors we can partner with, including those who are producing materials that we can work with”, Mr. Umesi said.
