REDAN Unveils 24 Committees to Drive Its Mission, Commends Outstanding Leadership of Dangiwa

To further support the Federal government’s efforts in addressing Nigerians’ housing needs, and in line with the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) mission, the President of the body, Prince Akintoye Adeoye, on Wednesday officially announced the appointment of twenty-four (24)  committees, comprising over 100 dedicated members of the Association.

These committees, he said, will help the REDAN 7th Council achieve their mission, which is focused on critical areas such as advocacy, transparency, innovation, professionalism,

While acknowledging and commending the outstanding leadership of the Honourable Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, Prince Akintoye Adeoye said his significant achievements within just one year have greatly advanced the President’s Renewed Hope agenda.

In Prince Akintoye’s words, “We recognize the notable progress in increasing the availability of affordable and decent housing for Nigerians, as demonstrated by the groundbreaking of 6,612 housing units across 13 locations nationwide under the Ministry’s Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme.

“We also commend the Ministry’s Urban Renewal and Slum Upgrade Programme, which aligns perfectly with REDAN’s advocacy for inclusive development.

“The Honourable Minister’s vision and dedication to housing, as highlighted in your recent press briefing, and your partnership with Shelter Afrique Development Bank to provide 5,000 affordable housing units in the pilot phase, are commendable.

“His initiatives in Housing Institutions Reforms and plans for a National Housing Data Center are also significant milestones that deserve recognition.

“Our Association serves as a unified platform for real estate developers, working tirelessly to enhance the sector by advocating for favourable policies, establishing industry standards, and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders.

“Moreover, REDAN plays a vital role in addressing the pressing housing challenges faced by our nation.

“We work closely with government bodies, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to promote affordable housing and sustainable development across Nigeria.”
