He was accompanied by senior members of staff of the related departments and agencies of the FCTA, Bello was briefed about the project by the contractors, site engineers and other important workforces.

Engr Felix Nwankwo, the Acting Coordinator of the Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD), stated that a superior percentage of the work has been completed and with the disburse of funds by the FCTA, the project is to be completed as soon as possible. Adding that the Apo Karshi road is being constructed in two segments by two different contractors. the first segment is 13.5 KM in length, 8.5 KM has been tarred from the Wassa community down to a section bounded by a hill and the second segment of the road, which is 1.8 kilometers in length is being constructed as a part of the Karshi Waterworks Project, which is equally in progress.

The area we are working on is 1 kilometer, which is the hill portion. We are bringing down the hill and filling up the two locations of the valley up to the required profile. It’s a huge project because it requires a lot of fortifications”.

Bello urged the contractors and FCTA officials to ensure that quality work and services are delivered.
