The Construction Artisans Award [CAA] was held yesterday at the Mooshood Abiola Stadium to appreciate and encourage artisans in the construction sector of the country.

The award which has its theme as ‘The Growth and support of The Nigerian Artisan’ is a platform that seek not just to provide incentives, safety equipment and other benefits, but, to instill a sense of pride and appreciation in the minds of Artisans.

Organizers of the Awards who earlier said that the Nigerian artisan is the bedrock and foundation of the Nigerian built industry but, whose constant contributions to the Nigerian economy have been overlooked. As such, they have taken the mandate to not just appreciate the artisans but, give them the recognition their impacts truly deserve.

Mr Yusuf David who won the Artisan of the Year Award while giving his vote of thanks, expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the Construction Artisans Awards and Skills Expo, C-STEMP, her sponsors and partners, as well as the Artisans who participated in the competition.

Yusuf encouraged his fellow artisans to remain diligent and continue to train and work in the industry.
