Real estate online company, Rentnaija, has launched a new web portal to help people find affordable homes.
The Chairman of the company, Mr Dapo Wahab, said it would also help to accommodate the growing traffic experienced on their previous platform.
According to him, it is a step aimed at creating a better online experience for both house hunters and other stakeholders in the real estate industry.
Wahab explained that the move had been in the pipeline for over year and that it was an initiative to find solutions to many problems in the country’s property market.
He said Rentnaija’s mission would be to connect real estate buyers and sellers in a transparent manner.
He said property developers, landlords, estate agents and anyone eager to market any property would be able to upload them freely on rentnaija.com and expect to be contacted directly by prospective buyers in no time.
“The new portal has features such as property video tour and goggle map location among others to enable informed decision-making on the side of buyers. This will help to reduce the time wasted by house seekers when trying to decide on which house to rent or buy,” he said.
Wahab said all well-meaning realtors, estate agents, property developers and landlords should leverage the free platform to connect with prospective clients.
The Chief Technical Officer of Rentnaija, Mr Zenos Rowland, said the new portal was mobile-friendly and capable of hosting tens of thousands of property without any hitch.
According to him, the app is downloadable on Google Play Store by anyone using android enabled phone.
Rowland said at a click, users could select the type of house they wanted, the area they preferred and choose whether the term should be rent, lease, sublet or buy.
“Thereafter, options with regard to query will pop up and they will be able to navigate through images, pictures and videos of any property they choose. They can even proceed further by either chatting directly with the property owner/agent or call,” he added.
He explained that the parent company of Rentnaija, Pekuliar Properties Nigeria Limited, had been in the Nigeria property marketing business for over a decade, and had been one of the four sole exclusive independent agents responsible for marketing and sale of the newly developed Tejuosho Market in Lagos.
